As Baryn Futa sees things, art is a key element of every human society, which means that art should always be supported and protected, it is too often reality that art is taken for granted and not seen as a priority. That is what drives him as a lover of art and a major benefactor. Too often, Baryn Futa feels that great artists see too little appreciation and too often don’t make enough to thrive.
If Baryn Futa seems to be making up for lost time, it’s no wonder. It’s not like he always had a deep appreciation for art. In fact, it wasn’t until he retired and began working with the Denver Art Museum that he began to fully appreciate the importance of art, and no one was more surprised than he. Baryn used his time at DAM to cultivate his new-found love of art and art history by attending art fairs and museum exhibitions and anything else he could find. He now maintains his own impressive art collection, and Baryn Futa also holds memberships in many prominent art museums with impressive collections of their own. He also loans his own pieces to museums as a way to encourage art preservation.
